The Old FLorida HOuse

Just a little over a thousand square feet, this home was built in 1956.  A nod to retro style was top of the list when it came to choosing a direction for the design.  The paint palette of marshmallowy pink and cantaloupe is at once soft and bright, giving a nod to the aesthetic of the Sunshine state three quarters of a decade ago.  Cane detailing, retro prints that deliver a tongue in cheek message and modern light fixtures are layered with quirky details like the plate wall which shows off several Florida souvenir plates.  The kitchen is casual and features butcher block counter tops, open shelving, original Saltillo tile and the cutest little range hood.
