Frequently Asked Questions: Your Guide to Our Design Process and Services

How Does Our Pricing Structure Work?
With the exception of our Refresh, Design Consultation and Paint Selection services, we use a flat-fee design model tailored to each project. This ensures clients know their investment upfront, avoiding surprises from hourly billing. Why flat-fee? Because once we dive into your project, our creative process never stops, and it’s hard to put a time-based value on that level of focus and thought.

What Is Our Design Process?
We start with a discovery call, followed by an on-site visit to see your space and discuss your vision. This visit helps us get to know you and gather the insight needed for a customized proposal.  Once you approve our proposal and pay our design fee, we begin the design phase. Depending on the project size, you can expect a completed design plan within 6-8 weeks.  Once approved, your investment towards fixtures and furnishings is collected so we can place orders on your behalf.  Installation timelines vary based on product selections and availability.  Have a tight timeline? Let’s chat, and we’ll do our best to meet your deadline!

How Did You Get Started Doing This Type of Work?
My design skills are deeply rooted in creative problem-solving, honed over years of experience in startup environments where innovation was key. Interior design is my second career, a continuation of the foundation I built while designing my own commercial spaces as a business owner in a different industry. Creating intentional, aesthetically aligned spaces that reflected my brand became a top priority.  I saw first hand how interior design could communicate a story and evoke emotion.  Since then, I’ve overseen multiple residential projects.  I hold a dual Bachelor's Degree in Women's and Environmental Studies and am pursuing an Interior Design Certificate from Parsons School of Art and Design.

What Types Of Clients Have You Worked With?
I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, each with their own unique stories and goals. Getting to know my clients personally is a priority, as it allows me to tailor my designs to their specific needs.

What Advice Would You Give A Potential Client?
Interior design is a luxury service, and you’re investing in both the creative vision and practical expertise of your designer. Trusting them will allow them to achieve the best result.

What Questions Should Clients Think Through Before Moving Forward?

"How do I want to feel in this space?"

"What functional elements am I currently missing?"

"If I took on this project myself, how much would it cost me in time and effort? What results could I realistically achieve without professional help?"
